The world has changed, there is a deadly virus that is putting everyone at risk. There are three groups attempting to make their way to the retreat. Everyone just wants to find a way to survive and keep those they love safe. As each of the three groups attempts the journey to live at the retreat they are faced with life and death challenges and situations. Will they all be able to survive and make it to a place where safety may actually be obtainable?

I have loved every single CJ Tudor book that I have read and this one is no exception. I was hooked from the first chapter. There was so much going on right from the beginning and I was dying to learn more throughout the book. I have had this book on my tbr list since I knew it was going to be published and other books just kept distracting me from reading. I am so happy that I listen to it in audio format.

This is the first time I listened to one of CJ’s book and I think I will be trying it again in the future. I am obsessed with the fact that there were 3 narrators for this book. I loved that when the perspectives changed I got a new voice. It made following the different perspectives easier and had me more engaged.

After starting the book and learning that it was about a deadly virus I was unsure how I was going to feel given recent history. I will say living through a pandemic did not impact my ability to enjoy this book in the least. I found myself making excuses to listen more and ended up listening to this almost 11 hour book in 4 days.

There were so many twists and turns I just never knew what was going to happen next. I will be honest and say there were a couple of times I had to quickly rewind because I was so blown away by whatever piece of information was just presented to me, I had to go back and relisten. The setup and delivery of this story was incredibly done. I cannot say enough how much of a joy this book was. I am sad that it is done and I am once again waiting for the next CJ Tudor book to come out.
