I don’t understand why this book got recommended to me so much. This book reads like a fanfiction, which is something I do not like. There were moments in the book where I felt very uncomfortable. It seems like the main character seems like a person who knows what she’s doing, but that’s not the case. The characters aren’t likeable. The only character I did like only got a few moments in the book. It also seemed like the diary entries of the main character took up a big portion of the book. I did not like the diary entries.

Every time Ryle and Lily meet in the book there is some sort of graphic adult scene. You don’t know a whole lot about Ryle. You know a lot about how Lily feels about Ryle and most of the time I was trying not the pull all the hairs out of my head, because I just couldn’t understand why Lily made the decisions she made. I know that’s the whole plot of the story. Lily is making the same mistakes her mother made, but I feel like the story would have been so much more powerful if she realised her mistakes and fixed them then and there
