The Masque of the Red Death by Edgar Allan Poe
3.0

A short gothic story that explores society in sickness. At least that’s what I gathered from it. The imagery behind every room being a different colour was cool, it represented emotions. The clock was probably my favourite part and biggest takeaway. Everything stopped when the clock would strike and it have ambiance to the story.
That being said, I really only got atmosphere and ambiance here. Not a ton of story. Everyone dies, the end. If you analyze it then sure, it’s fun. However, I was bored by it and lost interest pretty quickly. It was an alright read.
