The Idiot by Fyodor Dostoevsky

My all time favorite book. This is my third time reading it. It made me fall in love with reading again.

When I was like 16/17 I came across a quote from this book on tumblr. Something to do with ‘kindness’ which is a word I’ve always felt drawn to. To me kindness is something that stems from the heart and is related to God consciousness…

This book is so grand. It’s about innocence and being intelligent in a way that few people can understand bc they lack purity in their hearts. It’s about anger and what happens to someone when they find pleasure in their anger. Anger towards others will ultimately only hurt yourself.

I feel 10 times wiser every time I finish this. It’s such a funny book as well. Makes me laugh a lot. J’adore Prince Myshkin, my heart hurts for Nastasya.

But maybe The Brothers Karamazov is to me now what The Idiot has been to me the last 8 years. The Brothers Karamazov may as well be my favorite. Idk. I just know Dostoevsky is my #1, the greatest star ever.
