Frankenstein by Mary Shelley

4.0

There is a story within a story within a story within a story (this is a positive thing). I, modern reader that I am, thought that there was too much extra information- surely we didn’t need to know every aspect of Frankenstein’s youth. However, most of it followed interesting thought-threads in showing the different experiences of Frankenstein and his creation. I can see the different possibilities that were never able to be, and feel sadness and sympathy. Most is not for Frankenstein, although in fairness he didn’t know what book he was in.
