Overall: 3.4/5
This book was good and meh. Each guy had their own traumas and the 'cat and mouse' games between them and Jo was entertaining.
SpoilerI kind of figured out the bosses were the same dude so that wasn't really as mind-boggling as intended.
I guess my real hang-up was that it just seemed to feel very surface-level. You'd get a bite but it never got delved into or explored. And then the ending felt rushed and a little like whiplash with the last weird plot twist (really wasn't needed). None of it was bad overall but it I feel like somewhere along the way the author tried to juggle too much and not dig in deep to what was already developing.
