In Ascension by Martin MacInnes
3.0

"In Ascension," we follow Leigh's life journey, starting from her difficult childhood and continuing into her adult years as she studies marine biology. Leigh is deeply fascinated by the origins of life, and her journey takes us from the depths of the sea to the vastness of space.

In my opinion, the story was too long and dragged out, and for me, it was also challenging to develop a strong attachment to the characters in the book. However, the ending proved to be worth the journey. I'd recommend this book to sci-fi enthusiasts, although there are certainly better options available.
