Hunted by Meagan Spooner

5.0

4.5*

I have a soft spot for Beauty and the Beast retellings, and this one was no exception. Easy to read, full of snow and forests and magic, with a clever blend of Russian folklore and the original tale, this book felt as good as An Enchantment of Ravens did some months ago. I came across both at a particularly difficult moment, and both helped me keep my sanity by making me travel to faraway fairy lands.

(Bonus points for Hunted because it reminded me of Winterheart all the time, and Winterheart makes me very happy)
