Trying To Live With The Dead
by B.L. Brunnemer
Triggers: Lexie has experienced physical and emotional abuse at the hands of her mother. A boy in Lexie's past also attempted to rape her, and she beat him up for it. Lexie, as a result, suffers from PTSD and has flashbacks and triggers. Each of the boys also experiences PTSD from past experiences but Lexie doesn't yet know why.
Safety: The series slowly transitions from YA to NA as the group gets older (and gets ready to leave high school. Since Brunnemer planned for the first series to be 9 books, she's taking her time developing the friendship which means each of the boys and Lexie SLOWLY are realizing they feel more for each other. As a result, all the boys and Lexie experience relationships with OW/OM. The series is told only from Lexie's POV so there are no detailed intimate scenes with the guys and OW. However, because they are teenage boys, there are discussion of their sex lives with OW.
