I really enjoyed this book! It had lots of clever twists, turns and red herrings which kept me guessing the whole way through! The chapters switch between the present day and three years ago. In the present day, you get the point of view of someone who is in hospital suffering from ‘locked in syndrome’ meaning that they can hear and see everything around them but can’t move. I was trying to guess the whole way through who this person was going to be but I was still shocked when the big reveal came! When the chapters flip back to three years ago, the story follows Toni who is trying to bring up her daughter Evie in the wake of her husband Andrew’s death. Things are really difficult for them after they are forced to relocate to Nottingham and Evie struggles to adjust to her new school. And then one day the worst happens and Evie goes missing.

All in all this is a great thriller and I’d highly recommend!
