This is one of the few books I think everyone should read. It was as heartwarming as it was heartbreaking. There were so many prominent issues addressed, and all of them were handled delicately and with care for the reader. I love the way this book addressed how “weirdos” are treated and how they feel in school. Because it is told from the outsider’s perspective, it can teach us a lot about the assumptions we make about other people’s behavior. I listened to the audiobook, and Noah Galvin did a fantastic job bringing life to Charlie’s voice.
