Sea of Tranquility by Emily St. John Mandel

mysterious medium-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix
  • Strong character development? It's complicated

Time travel always gets me. Either It's done well or has too many plot holes. This book reminds me of Book 1 of Wool. When I read Wool, in 2014, there was only one book with no public thoughts of a series. Now it is a series and a TV show. But I guess it only reminds me of Wool because sci-fi books like to try to be clever. I have that sense of whose reality is really real? Whose reality is the truth? Those questions are never really answered and the only way to get some answers is to re-read the book and check for clues and speculate.
