This was, admittedly, not my favorite Lucy Score. I still really enjoyed it, but not to the same level as I have some of her others.
I think maybe it was because I didn’t find myself connecting the same with the characters.
Ashley has been with Steven, her fiance, for quite some time. But things have been changing between them. Even she can tell. He’s more focused on his job and his co-worker–Victoria.
When they go to a work party, and Ashley catches Steven cheating with Victoria–unbeknownst to either of them–Jason Baine asks Ashley to kill two birds with one stone; get revenge on her cheating fiance while also proving that he and Victoria are compromising his family’s company.
From the first there was a high amount of sexual tension between Ashley and Jason. However, she’s not sure if he’s just leading her on so she keeps trying to dig for information on Steven.
This was a quick read that provided some drama, sexy times, and romance. In the end, though, Jason was definitely just a little short on the character development for me.
Don’t let this deter you, however! If you haven’t read a Lucy Score before, there are MANY great ones out there!
