The Orphanage By The Lake by Daniel G. Miller
4.0

I was enamored with this book. When I read a mystery/crime, psychological thriller. As a reader I feel like I have to figure it out. I pay close attention to all details and this book was very good. I enjoyed the mystery of who is doing what. Hazel Cho the FMC did not know who to trust and that was
put to the test. She is a P.I., a woman and of Asian decent and only 5 ft tall she was very rarely taken seriously. Not having people knocking down her door and she is just trying to make ends meet. So when I woman demands her help and produces the cash and a car to do her research she has no choice to take the job. With a ridiculous time frame given from the client she has 2 weeks the find the person that she wants found has been missing for 6 months. The lies start stacking up and the trail is getting road blocked at every turn. Time is running out and it is coming down the the wire.
