I received an ARC of this book from Puskin Children's Books via Netgalley in exchange for a review.
I can't believe I hadn't read this story before! I really enjoyed it and thought it was neat to see elements of this story that have been used since in many other "classic" tales. The only critique I had was that I thought the illustrations would be different, more like a child's story book. While they are nice, they are black and white and few and far between. Considering how gorgeous the cover of this book is, I would have liked more pictures to go with this tale.
