This is the second book in a duet and it immediately picks up where the first book ended. I was in suspense throughout the entire book. It is full of tons of twists and turns with a quick moving plot. Wisecup is not afraid to bring the spice.
Gwyn is just as fierce in this book as the previous book. I enjoyed how we glimpsed more into her mental health and some of the other characters. Roman was my favorite. I loved reading his chapters and seeing his internal monolog as the events from book one and this novel unfolded. Wisecup did a good job fleshing out the side characters. I would love to see more Nico in the future.
Please be mindful of the author's trigger warnings. This book has heavy topics within it and while I enjoyed it, it may not be for everyone.
Graphic: Death, Mental illness, Sexual content, Toxic relationship, Blood
Moderate: Gun violence, Self harm, Suicide, Grief
Minor: Addiction, Suicidal thoughts
