Bear Head by Adrian Tchaikovsky
5.0

I rather enjoyed Dogs of War, it was a cools tory with some really interesting ideas. But DAMN I was not expecting it to lead to this gem. I loved Bear Head. Very cool characters, oh Jimmy.... And the resurgence of a few favourites from the first book. But the whole Mars thing was just great. I loved it so much. And I loved Werner S Thomson. This was a damn great book.

Tchaikovsky really is my favourite modern author. He keeps delivering stellar stories all over the genre spectrum, and each one of solid build quality and at a fast enough pace that I can read a new one every few months. Please can the National Guard set up a perimeter around his house, keep him safe and writing.
