I enjoyed this even more than the first two books. The challenges Morrigan is confronted with really shows her growth as a character. It also reveals the light (good) within her as we see the contrast of Morrigan and Ezra more throughout this installment.
The main conflict gave me Zootopia vibes, though I could see similarities with the Covid pandemic. I particularly liked how it was ultimately solved in two parts, the first by Morrigan and the second by a force through Morrigan. It showed that Morrigan is still flawed, still learning the craft of a Wundersmith.
