Good in Bed by Jennifer Weiner

4.0

I’ve never read this author before. I didn’t know she wrote In Her Shoes. It popped up on my suggested reads on Scribd and I read the synopsis. As a “larger woman” who doesn’t necessarily consider herself a larger woman, I immediately identified with the main character. I thought, going into it, that this would be a body positive fluff piece that would be lighthearted and an easy read. It was an easy read. It was body positive. But it was more than that. This book shows all women (especially we who could never refer to ourselves as “petite”) who can sometimes feel like we’re just stuck in some body, that we are SOMEBODY. We are no less because we are not what society deems ideal. Our thoughts, ideas, and lives mean every bit as much as the next woman. I just loved this book and I’m looking forward to reading more from Jennifer Weiner. You go girl!
