Wild Heart by Beth Ehemann
5.0
AWESOME!!! Fantastic!!! Riveting!! I have now experienced a book coma. I was stunned, speechless. I totally got Viper in this book. I understood every action, every thought. I love him more for surviving, living, and choosing love. (yes, I know he isn’t real. But, OMG!!!, Beth Ehemann convinced me he was real with her words). I can’t thank the author enough for her compassionate writing. It would have been so easy to throw Viper under the bus and drag him out of the pages.
There are some series that just grab you. The reader becomes invested with the characters. The Cranberry Inn series has the ability to immerse me in the story, to make me care, to become invested in the out come. If anyone deserves a happily ever after it is Viper an Michelle. Their journey began with Cement Heart. In Wild Heart, we can only hope Viper's heart of stone can be tamed.
Viper has never been an easy man. Until Michelle, Viper didn’t know love. Viper still is in denial about longterm, forever and always. Viper is hockey. He knows nothing else. He can’t accept anything else.
Viper’s world comes crashing down when he is injured. Instead of leaning on Michelle he builds walls. I understood his thinking. I understood his actions. Viper’s tears were my tears.
Viper’s journey along with Michelle’s love and patience made for an amazing love story. I cannot explain how wonderful I felt reading Matthew’s actions and unquestionable devotion for Viper.
Swoon!!! OMG!!!! Viper’s determination to prove himself worthy of Michelle and the children—speechless, emotionally drained. If this was a play, I would be standing and applauding loudly, being pulled back to my seat. Viper scored on the ice. Beth Ehemann scored on the pages.
