I loved this book! It was a reread, but I didn't remember everything. It was my favorite Agatha Christie so far. It had a great blend of humor and intrigue, with several false leads before Miss Marple solved the case. I loved the first person point of view. The vicar and his wife were hilarious in a dry way, and Miss Marple was so clever and humble. There were a few subtle points about feminism, religion, and criminal justice. I was wowed by the solution and all the plot threads were tied up nicely. The narrator did fun voices for each character in a variety of British and Irish accents. Overall it was a cozy mystery done right.
Moderate: Infidelity, Murder
Minor: Ableism, Chronic illness, Cursing, Sexism, Suicide, Alcohol
