Did not finish book. Stopped at 48%.
This one’s going in the DNF pile. I found this on a local authors table at my B&N; I want so badly to love it. I just don’t. The concept and overall plot is 10/10 up my alley. The pacing is crawling for me, and I can’t get myself to finish it. The other issue I’m having is the lack of detail with the world building. Some of the scenes are hard to follow because we just don’t get enough info.
I know this is being trad published and I’m hoping it gets a little polishing to help these issues. I also hope for an audiobook. I think my experience would be so much better via audio vs eyeballs; I would retry this one via audiobook if it gets made.
