Anyone But Her by Erica Lee

5.0

This book made me squeal with happiness. That doesn’t happen very often anymore.

Anyone But Her is not my typical type of book. It’s classified as new adult and romance. Two things I rarely read. But man am I glad I decided to read this. It has the same vibe as the Faberry fanfictions I was obsessed with back in 2010. Am I a little bit embarrassed to admit that I was obsessed with Faberry fanfics? Yes. Judge me all you want, they were my first taste of fandom. I will always have a soft spot for them.

ANYWAY. I adored both Reagan and Charlie so much. Their chemistry was off the charts from the very beginning. I’m also just a sucker for a forbidden romance.

I loved loved loved Reagan and Jamie’s friendship. I think everyone needs a friendship like theirs and I’m sad I don’t have one. (I’m ALWAYS taking applications for a queer best friend!)

Jamie and Charlie’s family makes me very very sad. I can relate to them a lot, as my family is pretty conservative as well. (Not quite as much, thank god.) The one saving grace about their family is Nana. Nana is 100% the best character.

The humor in this book made me so delightfully happy. Like cackling out loud happy.

I highly recommend it if you want a good sapphic romance. Heads up though that there are a few semi graphic sex scenes.
