This book surmises perfectly the double nature of the carribean lifestyle. Our circumstances are fickle and when we throw ourselves to the wind to feel something outside of us—we just feel foolish for thinking the wind can blow us somewhere new but the wind is just that. The hopeful and fleeting thought that “If i could just get off this rock”, but every rock has it’s own people hanging on to the same hope. My advice: Find good company to sit and drink with so you can all be unmoved by angry clocks.
