Child of God by Cormac McCarthy

3.0

A strange, unsettling story of a violent and perverted man living in the Appalachian mountains. It is southern gothic to the extreme, verging on horror, and is my least favorite work by Cormac McCarthy thus far. Still, his writing is so unique and his characters are so compelling that I will undoubtedly be returning to his books soon.
