Habibi by Craig Thompson

5.0

Habibi was a richly cultivated graphic novel of astounding heights. For the majority of the book I found my self engulfed in the story of Dodola and Zam as their lives unfolded before me. The only time I felt myself pulled out of the story was when I willed myself to take a step back and truly look at the accompanying artwork, one that made the sand blow and garments move. While the book is quite large I wanted more, more of their lives, more illustrations, just more story.
