The Book of Accidents by Chuck Wendig
3.0
Simplified summary:
A family moves back to their hometown.
Opening lines:
Edmund Walker Reese was a man of numbers.
Review:
When the monster is veiled by shadow and you can only make out a vague shape, that is when the monster strikes the most fear. But eventually the monster has to be revealed. And when that happens it can turn out to be a lot of different things. In this case, it was disappointing. Once the curtains were pulled back any sense of fear and unease left and it almost turned into an entirely different book.
