Pet Sematary
by Stephen King
All I can after immediately finishing this is holy fucking hell. The build-up in part one, introducing the reader to the players and responsible parties, with very little soul tearing events and horror that was needed as a set up for the rest of the book.
**Spoilers Below**
Part two then set the reader up with an immediate heart wrenching event, Gage’s accident. Maybe I am already partly emotional from a very recent death in the family but the detail in which Gage slips through Louis fingertips and the carnage following the Orinco truck for another 50 yards really did me in.
It is only right, that Louis starts his string of costly mistakes, one after another at this point following the funeral. It was bad enough he was warned by Jud several times, but grief will do that do anyone I guess.
Part three was a perfect summation of the events that transpired and what was to come of Louis Creed.
