Christa Comes Out of Her Shell by Abbi Waxman

1.0

As an Abbi Waxman apologist, I was super pumped when I heard about the plot. The beginning kicked off STRONG, complex relationships between family members, a secret incident, a father back from the grave, and a second chance romance. However, it didn't end that way.

The romance fell so flat that I was rooting for their break up...that only lasted two hours. Not to mention a weird age gap that always came up (if you have to explain that your partner that you used to play with Elmo while you were sailing, that's weird). In addition, her father's plot was NEVER confronted. This book has so much potential and such a great author to back it up, but overall it didn't fulfill any of its plot lines or character development.
