Ghost Lover by Lisa Taddeo
dark
emotional
sad
2.5
I’m very torn how to feel about this collection of short stories.
What I really enjoyed was Lisa Thaddeo’s writing style which was the main reason I kept reading “Ghost Lover” and I kind of wanna give her writings another chance.
The stories were not really relatable to me, but there were some parts, some sentences that really stuck with me.
Overall I had a feeling of “wow that is kind of problematic” and some parts surely were, but on the other hand this is a collection of gross and unhinged and broken women so it got me thinking a lot about the things we do not see, eating disorders, depression, grief, ageing, self-image and disturbing relationships to men and what it all means to be a woman in a world dominated by men.
