What the actual …  Wow. You never know what you are getting into when you read a splatterpunk novel. I think that is where some of the excitement lies. Boy, did this book deliver!
I have no idea what is scarier… the fact that this storyline was floating around in Rob Nelson’s head or that I devoured it as quickly as I did and absolutely loved it. This book is a walking trigger warning. It is not for the faint of heart. If you are a sicko like me, you will read this with a smile on your face!

The book follows two tragic teenagers with equally traumatic pasts. Adrian, a victim of constant abuse at the hands of his father, found ways of coping through rather deviant means. If the abuse wasn’t enough, he was also the repeated target of bullies at school. When the new girl made herself known, he never expected to find not only a friend but someone who enjoyed his eclectic hobbies. Kendra, also a victim of constant abuse, has her eyes set on one guy, Adrian. There is something about him that she is undeniably drawn to.

When you put these two together, no one is safe. Imagine meeting your soul mate in every sense of the word. These two were made for each other. There is no limit to their viciousness and depravity. I came for the splatterpunk and stayed for the love story! Hahaha. What story wouldn’t be complete without a side of humor?! Rob, you had me belly laugh in the most inappropriate times. Thank you.

Rob has made his way to the top of my auto-read author list. Well done, sir! I can’t wait for the next disgusting tale your chaotic mind thinks up! Keep them coming!

Thanks to Rob Nelson for gifting me an eARC of Made A Monster. I am leaving this review voluntarily. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
