I loved Bulgo's casual enthusiasm and hated his sexism. The differences between the two main characters worked well. The boss character seems to have an interesting backstory but he's just very chill in this volume. The actions scenes were sometimes hard to decipher, and the way the main characters were dressed got old fast.
This world seems very promising, but the things that annoy me about the story will likely continue to be a problem. I may grab volume 2 if I see it at the library but I don't intend to seek it out.
