I was told this book was for fans of The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue- while it surprised me how different this one was, I was pleased to see the similar rich descriptions and exposition throughout this book, which also transported me into the story. This was a read I needed to stay up late and finish to find out what happened and I’m glad I did!
Without spoiling anything…I dont know if i completely LOVED how the ending turned out, but i think its personal opinion more than a writing flaw. I think its still well done, just not where I thought this was going.
I did really like how the stories of the past flowed well with the stories of the present. And I loved all the artistic descriptions as someone who enjoys art.
My only complaint is this book is VERY long. Also admittedly not sure where you’d cut things but this was a commitment of a read.
Overall though, I highly recommend this read!
