This quite enjoyed this prequel/companion volume!
Nagi’s backstory received a bit more depth and we got to further explore the inner workings of his mind and “motivations” for playing soccer. I also liked that we got to see more of his friendship with Reo.
The only gripe I had with this volume was that Nagi felt like a side character in his own story.
There were a lot of phenomenally drawn panels in this volume and I can’t wait for Vol. 2.
