The Apple Tree
by Jewel E. Ann
The sweet smell of apples baking in the sunlight filled the air as she slowly walked through the orchard. It was fall days like these that she lived for. She reached up and plucked an apple from the tree. Taking a bite she savored its tartness on her tongue. This place was a small slice of heaven on earth, the other slice was the man walking toward her.
The Apple Tree is a dual POV romance following Kyle and Eve. Kyle has just moved to the small town Eve has grown up in. He arrives with his young son in tow. Eve is trying to find her place in life and as the pastor’s daughter she has rules to follow.
After reading and loving the first book in this series I was glad to dive in and get Eve’s story. While I didn’t love this one as much as the first book, I still loved watching Kyle and Eve’s story unfold. Eve was immature a lot throughout this book, but you have to remember she’s eighteen and dealing with emotions and scenarios as an eighteen year old. No one processed things well at eighteen. I relate to a lot of things in this series so far and I can’t wait to read Grace’s story next!
If you want a single dad, age gap, forbidden love romance… definitely give this one a read.
