5/5 ⭐️ 3/5 🌶️

Why haven’t I read a Laura Pavlov book sooner?! I’m kind of glad this was my first though because I absolutely loved this book.
It had enemies to lovers, brotherhood & found family which I adore, training & boxing, and secrets which are revealed throughout the story.

I loved the brotherhood between Romeo and the guys and then the big family they formed with Demi’s mother and grandparents. The scenes with Cutler (Nash’s son) were adorable. I can’t wait for his book to be released.

I didn’t think a boxing romance would be my thing but Romeo made it my thing. I loved his character. He’s pretty hostile towards Demi but once the secrets are revealed and the walls are down he’s pretty much perfect for her. Demi’s loyalty towards those she loves and her caring nature made me really like her.

There isn’t really a third act break up in this just an argument that gets resolved which I’m grateful for. No matter what Demi’s father does to tear them a part, Demi always chooses Romeo.

Some of the secrets were predictable but it didn’t take away from the story or make it boring, it was paced out well and made me want to continue reading.

I’m really looking forward to reading the rest of the series. Laura has definitely got me hooked.
