I had seen this book on the library shelves for a few years and had meant to check it out. Well, it came up on my weeding list, or the list that says no one has checked it out in a. few years so now was the time to read it or pitch it.

Upon reading it, I realized why no one was checking it out. It is a sad but wholesome account of a middle aged woman taking care of her dying parents. It deals with the struggles of the parents (aka being stubborn) and the daughter who has to now become the caregiver of her parents while taking cafe of her own kids, and work as well. It is a real eye opener for those who are nearer the age of needing make a will, set up care, look at homes etc., and for those whose loved ones are getting older and must start the process with them. I can see why it was not being read a lot by our patrons. It's a hard book to read, but one that should be read.

There are more folks out there dealing with this issue by being the middle-aged daughter or being the aging parents in denial.
