A stunning book that navigates the emotional and psychic struggles of waking up to realize that the life you thought you wanted may not actually be the life you need. A highly resonant story about the growing pains of navigating a life transition (during a Saturn return) and finding love in the process. Loved the queer love story, loved the exploration of blood and chosen family, appreciated the plot complexities of what it is to be a Black woman in spaces that are exclusive and hostile, and the meeting of so many worlds inside the characters. I listened on audio and the narrator did a beautiful job.
