I watched the movie before reading the book.
The book is SO different from the movie!
I really, really enjoyed the movie and had to definitely push through the book. I had to keep telling myself that this book was written years ago just to get through it. Im just going to bash the authors writing style because it does get much better as the books go on.
Now. Yes... Hardin is an a**hole. Yes Hardin is toxic. Yes Tessa is a fool. But like, I secretly loved all the angst. My OC loving heart just thrives off teen angst. Would I call #Hessa a stable and functional relationship? HELL NO.
Would I want my daughter with a guy like Hardin? HELL NO.
BUT! I can appreciate this book for what it was, and that was entertaining.
