'Dandadan' by Yukinobu Tatsu is a fun and fast paced paranormal manga with horror elements.
Momo Ayase believes in ghosts but doesn't believe in aliens. Ken Takakura believes in aliens but not ghosts. When the two meet at school, they strike up a deal to prove the other one wrong. Ken will check out a supposedly haunted tunnel and Momo will check out an abandoned building where people have supposedly been abducted by aliens. What they each find will surprise them and set them on a new course.
Dandadan is a lot of fun while also leaning into horror imagery. Balancing folklore ghosts, ideas of aliens, and the complicated lives of the protagonists, it sets up what feels like a fun series to come. I'm excited to see what the characters get up to next.
