Just a lovely novel - funny and sad, with a 'hero' who's relatable in both good and bad ways. As the father of a surly teenager, a few years younger than Douglas, I found myself nodding along to many of the feelings he expressed, and whilst I hope I wouldn't be quite as ridiculous I have certainly had my moments! I found it a lot of fun, easily compelling and I loved it.
