Instructions for Dancing by Nicola Yoon
5.0

I base rating a book 5 stars on whether I cried or not. The ending of the book was heartbreakingly beautiful, so real and raw. This book challenges the natural tendency to fear and be closed off to love after experiencing heartbreak. It makes a case for diving head first into love, even despite the risk. I suggest reading the author's thank you section at the end of the book because she goes into her own life experiences that lead to the writing of this book which just makes it that much more special. I will say I almost gave it a 4.5 stars just based off the fact that the characters are finishing highschool and because of that I personally felt a little uncomfortable with the romantic parts as a 24 year old, so I think it would be an even greater read for that age group. Overall, this book is amazing and I love the inclusivity of the characters.
