“Sometimes people sneak up on you and suddenly you don’t know how you ever lived without them” - Elle Kennedy

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Stars

Well, I did not expect to love this book as much as a did. I walked into this one alongside The Bitchy Buddy Reads @ @ expecting a ridiculously cheesy smutty read. Whilst, it does still have some of those elements, it was WAY more than that. 🧀

I found Elle Kennedy’s writing so easy to read, I flew through this book. It was very easy going, I didn’t expect to relate to Hannah so much, loved that she was so sassy. Garrett played the token jock character very well but had so much depth quite early on too! ✍🏻

Both of the characters really grew as the book went on. And I loved that they brought out the best in each other. For some that might be all this book delivered, it does the sweet but lusty, haters to lovers story line really well. ❤️

Where this book shone for me personally  was actually far deeper. Early on, Hannah mentions being sexually abused in high school, initially I was shocked, nervous as to why this would be dropped into a light hearted read. However, the way this event effects Hannah and her ability to connect to others is SO real. 🥰
The way Garrett approaches the topic with Hannah is so lovely and just makes his character shine. I just really liked how Kennedy approached what is a very difficult topic. It was real and heartbreaking, but was turned into such strength and I love how we ended up soaring with Hannah. 🦋
