A highly likeable wolf/mates story that doesn't bring anything new to the table, but I quite enjoyed it nonetheless.

Max has been pining for Christian for as long as he can remember and adamantly proclaims they’re mates. However, Christian scoffs at such because of preconceived notions of what he thinks a mate should embody. However, a mate bond is very hard to ignore no matter how much one is in denial.

Despite being young and impulsive, Max is sassy and fun, forever supported by his bff Sean and never giving up on his staunch feels for his alpha. Christian is the epitome of stoic and gruff, and when his epiphany comes, his uber protective love shines through.

Again, for lovers of werewolves and mates and the dynamic that comes with such, I don’t think many will be disappointed, though there is sadly no on page smexy. This novella delivers strongly on the possessive feels, actions, and consequences, and I was more than satisfied with the HEA it wrought.
