this is an EXTREMELY chaotic book. I have no idea how they will ever adapt this into 7 or 8 episodes. I am not entirely sure if it fully made sense or delivered the payoff of epic proportions I expected but I will say the very ending, centered on the few heartbeats of the story, rang true and felt appropriately peaceful yet also post-apocalyptic. Finishing this book right now, in this moment, amongst fresh war and brokenness and feeling a lot of hopelessness or detachment was cathartic and escapist at the same time. Choosing a fictional chaos over a real one for a few hundred pages maybe
