Murder on Lenox Hill by Victoria Thompson

5.0

Police detective Frank Malloy and midwife Sarah Brandt are once again brought together by circumstances in solving a case set in Lenox Hill, a wealthy neighborhood in New York City. It's the turn of the century when things like a unwed pregnancy in a vulnerable teenage and pedophilia involving boys are not discussed or acknowledged in polite society. But a young special needs girl is pregnant, and the popular minister of her church has a following of young boys. Who ends up dead? Who killed the victim? Are the two events connected, and how? Another very good book that reminds us sexual sins are not new to this day and age.
