As someone who’s never read the novel before, I felt like this adaptation was missing quite a bit of context. It hinted at a lot of things but never fully explained them: like the doctors pulling people’s stomachs (at least I think that’s what it was), the wars, why they burned the books, who sold out Montag, and the fate of the cities. I’m pretty sure of the answers to those questions, but the book was either too confusing or not clear enough about what happened and moved in before the answer could really sink in.
