Going by the page numbers, I knew this would be a quick read. I didn't expect it to be as engaging a read as it ended up being, though! This was delightful in every sense of the fantasy genre, a page-turner that did not hold back the harsh realities of living, even if spells solving your every need can be cast with just a word.

I'm glad that I bought a collection of the first four books, as I will absolutely be reading those as well over the course of the year. I'm going to smash that 2025 reading goal!!
