I'm conflicted about this one. It seems like the inspired prose and multiple layers of metaphor are unfortunately built on little substance about the nature of love and loss. I'm not convinced, though, that this isn't a personal failing to grasp the nuance. Striking imagery and absurdist dialogue kept me invested, but the book's reveal fell flat.
