Demon Magic and a Martini
by Annette Marie
Ok, I think I've become a little immune to this series. Sure, I'm still annoyed at Tori's hornyness - it feels like the author added it at the last minute because Urban Fantasy is supposed to have sexyness in them, but it's gotten to a point that I just roll my eyes and zone out until we're past it - and a little blah at the romance hinted at. I'm sure she'll be through all the boys before this series is over.
But, I do enjoy the series over-all.
Especially this book. It wasn't as great as book - which is why I think I'm becoming immune to it - but it was good. I liked all the action - especially because I've found the beginnings of the other books to be borning, this jumping right into the fire was a nice twist that I liked.
I also liked that we got to know Ezra and his secrets a little better, even if it wasn't a surprise for me.
And, to be honest, if Tori is ever to end up with someone, I hope it's him. He's such a good and pure guy I find myself caring about him much more than the other guys - especially because I think Kai is a weak character all together. Again, I get this feeling the author threw him in at the last minute for the possibility of drama in the future.
oh, well. Guess I'll have to wait a few months before I can read/listen to the next book. Maybe my immunity will be gone by then!
